Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and are able to handle different flooring. Choose models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally was unable to navigate down stairs in a single pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills the water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. automatic vacuum includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just drag the pad across it. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if needed.
This robot has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled when needed. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. However, their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently by avoiding pet hairs as well as other dirt. The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to wipe your floors, the Q5 has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning and set the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't remove cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums can't reach. This device also is able to collect more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction if required. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
